About Us

Established in 1984, Buck Run Beef has been supplying Chester County and Pennsylvania with the highest quality grass-fed beef. Our cattle have, and always will be, treated humanely and are free to roam in our pastures. We have years of experience in breeding for taste and nutrition.

The farm was founded by Dr. Bill Elkins, who retired from a career in medical science, mostly at the University of Pennsylvania. His wife, Helen Elkins, can make arrangements for your custom order and beef sales.

Our sales continue despite the recent losses of both Dr. Elkins and farm manager, Carolyn Stoltzfus, who brought over 30 years of experience and knowledge in managing cattle here at Buck Run Farm. We miss you Bill and Carolyn!
